Colours, Culture, and Conversations
As part of their Unit of Inquiry “Images” under How We Express Ourselves, Grade 1 students visited the Tribal Museum on 21st August 2025.
Students explored paintings, sculptures, and artifacts, noticing how colors, shapes, and patterns express ideas, emotions, and cultural traditions. They reflected on how images tell stories and connect the past with the present, while also listening to diverse perspectives.
The experience inspired action. Students expressed excitement to create their own artworks, retelling stories through drawings. They realized that even simple images can hold deep meaning, reinforcing our central idea: Images communicate meaning and reflect cultural perspectives.
