Mindfulness An Art

An art therapy workshop focusing on ‘Mindfulness’ was organized and conducted by IB Art Educator Saba Iftekhar, also a renowned artist in the region. The students were introduced to what the profession of Art therapy is about! And how it is helping many people around the world and proving to be very helpful in enhancing individual development, growth, overall well-being, lowering anxiety and stress by improving self-awareness and self-esteem in people suffering from stress and depression.

The students learned to use the sense of smell, sight, hearing, and touch during the therapy session and some relaxing and breathing exercises. They were trained to use different tactile materials and express themselves during carefully chosen simple therapeutic exercises.
