Eastern Public School commemorated the 76th Independence day with full zeal and fervor. The entire school clad in tricolor flowers, banners, carnival strips, birds, and kites – celebrated and recollected a sense of freedom by dedicating one whole week to pay respectful tribute and inquiring and remembering the great freedom fighters and leaders who were instrumental in giving this priceless gift of a ‘Free and Independent India’ to the following generations. They discussed the importance of freedom and the sacrifice and struggle that went into achieving it and the responsibility of citizens towards their country.
The flag-hoisting was followed by an array of presentations by senior school students, educating their peers about India and its glorious past; with a sense of pride and patriotism.
