Field Trip to Tribal Museum (UOI- 3)

Visual Language Comes Alive at the Tribal Museum

Our Grade 2 students had a wonderful learning experience at the Tribal Museum as part of the Unit of Inquiry, “How We Express Ourselves.” They explored beautiful traditional art forms like Gond, Warli, Mandala, and Pithora paintings, along with mask making.
Children were fascinated to learn how art is more than just pictures, it is a way of telling stories, sharing ideas, and keeping culture alive. On the way to the museum, they also noticed road signs and hoardings, making real-life connections to how symbols and visuals communicate messages every day.
The trip left them inspired and excited to try creating their own artworks in class. It was a joyful reminder that learning can happen anywhere, and every experience adds meaning to what we do in school.
