International Peace Day: Different Roots, One Peaceful World
On 23rd September 2025, our PYP students celebrated International Peace Day with a meaningful assembly that echoed the values of harmony, compassion, and nonviolence. The program began with a soulful Surah recitation, setting the tone for peace and unity. Students then brought the theme alive through peace songs, inspiring stories of global peacemakers, and reflections on how peace begins with them.
This celebration beautifully reflected the IB Mission, which aims to develop caring, principled, and responsible global citizens who contribute to creating a better and more peaceful world. At the same time, it resonated with the EPS Mission of nurturing learners who embody respect, empathy, and responsibility within their communities.
The highlight was the creation of a vibrant collaborative peace symbol, where each child and teacher pledged small yet powerful actions for peace, at home, with friends, in the environment, and across the world.
Together, we were reminded that peace is a daily action—and it starts with us.
