EPS recognised as Innovation Leader at State Level as Saarah Khan (Grade 8) Shines on National Stage
Eastern Public School (EPS) was felicitated with the first rank (State level) at the National School Innovation Ranking and Awards 2026 held by Innoventure World Foundation. The awards are widely regarded as India’s largest innovation and entrepreneurship platform for schools in partnership with Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and the E-Cell of IIT Hyderabad.
The achievement was sweetened with Saarah Khan (Grade 8) securing a position among the Top 50 National Finalists at Innoventure 2025-26. Saarah proved that her business idea was among the most viable and creative ideas from across India. After three gruelling rounds of three demanding rounds of competitive ideation and prototyping, Saarah emerged as a Top 5 National Finalist from over 1,000 entries from across the country.
Saarah’s impressive success was rooted in rigorous analytical grit and the meticulous application of the Design Thinking framework at EPS. Through a month-long intensive study and evidence-based logic, she created a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model to organize street hawkers which captivated the competition’s jury. By surveying 100 vendors to identify systemic legal and emotional gaps, she developed a tripartite financial structure involving the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC). The model would also help replace roadside congestion with organized social enterprises that could potentially double vendor earnings.
Saarah’s success at the highest national level is a powerful testimonial to the gold-standard level of mentoring and training provided at EPS. By encouraging a culture of Education, Ethics and Enterprise, EPS encourages its students to create and test their ideas, turning “classroom theories” into “real-world solutions.” We congratulate Saarah and her parents on her incredible success on the national level and we are proud of the recognition bestowed upon the school as the premier destination for innovation among schools in Madhya Pradesh.
