SEL Session –Words that Build vs Words that Break
Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) plays a vital role in helping students develop self-awareness, empathy, and emotional control, enabling them to build positive relationships and make responsible decisions.
An engaging Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) session was conducted for Grades 2–5, focusing on the importance of using polite and respectful language. Through interactive discussions and real-life examples, students learned how words can influence others’ feelings and relationships.
They explored ways to stay calm, think before speaking, and choose positive expressions even in challenging situations. A short, fun quiz helped reinforce these key ideas, and students participated enthusiastically throughout.
