Book Fair 2017

A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one. -George RR Martin

EPS is always at the forefront when it is about instilling in students a balance of curricular and extra-curricular traits. Keeping vow of its own scheme EPS organized a three-day book fair in the Tree House Area at the campus from November 16th to 18th 2017. Organized by the pioneering Scholastic Publication, the fair opened for students the gate to the rich collection of fiction, non-fiction, and reference books. Teachers acted as the guiding light for students in choosing the right book. Before the fair commenced, a formal Ribbon cutting ceremony was done by the School's Director Mr. Umar Jaffar and Head Boy Hassan Naseem. Reading is not only constricted to language polishing but also helps evolve a socially and intellectually better human.

To make sure that everyone gets soaked in the fair the organizers had in store few competitions and activities. It all started with DEAR (Drop Everything and Read). Next in line was a cover page designing competition that encouraged students to give a creative visualization of their skills. To boost the morale of students' books were given as rewards for maximum purchases and cover page designing. Grade VIII B purchased most books and they were gifted with 15 books. ALIFA KHAN Grade VI A won the Poster making competition. The Character parade gained major spotlight as it had a fictional character named Clifford who surprised the children by visiting their classes. Students felt connected to the way he made the school Campus a happening place. This splendid fair witnessed impressive footfalls with frequent visits by students and parents as it coincided with the day of PYP SLC.
