“Let’s go reinvent tomorrow instead of worrying about what happened yesterday.”-Steve jobs

IB Primary years programme focuses on overall holistic development of children and provides opportunities for its students to develop and make informed decisions. The PYP Exhibition is one of the exemplifications of it.

Technology has advanced with years and it has changed the way of our life. Therefore, it’s important for us to reflect on the usage, pros and cons of it. The students of Grade 5 at Eastern Public School took up the responsibility to spread awareness and explore the technological advances its impact on the natural world and its laws during the PYP Exhibition held on 15 January 2017. Throughout the Exhibition students were engaged in a collaborative inquiry process that involved identifying, investigating and offering solutions to real-life issues or problems in the context of their local and global communities. School visits from experts of respective fields and excursions helped students dig deeper in the concepts. Students investigated technological advances in the field of health, Environment, Nuclear and Digital world. Their understanding and research findings were exhibited in a stimulating way through print, multimedia and interactive presentations.

The PYP Exhibition gave students an opportunity to demonstrate all the skills developed throughout their Primary years. As a result of their learning, students initiated actions to resolve these issues. This was a clear evidence of development of the attributes of IB learner profiles in them and a step ahead in their journey of becoming international minded citizens.

Opening of the exhibition ceremony was done with enthralling performances by primary students.

Overall it was an absolutely action-packed event that made the audience experience the core of real IB education.
